The internet. Amen.

No doubt you've already seen these; pics from the Chris King booth at Interbike featuring the goodness of a Robin's. Egg. Blue. Vagen.

That is just so tight.

More more more more. (Please.)

Gawwwwww! Bastard!

I know, I know. It's gonna be unreal. Like locking the Coat guy in the paint booth with a bunch of mushrooms and seeing what comes out.

K murder - You're killing me man! I'm signed up for Surprise Me. Not only am I dieing to get my mojo riding on the Speedvagen, but I am also jonesing to see what Sacha has cooked up with Surprise Me!!

You sound like you're on the inside of the operation. Any hints as to when the Speedvagen will be assembled and ready for delivery?

It wouldnt be a surprise if i told you. i wouldnt want to ruin it. i am assistant painter at coat. I Cant tell and i wont tell. i can only hype up the situation. sorry. soon you will have it. very soon. after the bikes get painted we send them to a mystical forest where they are assembled by a man we shal call "Wandinja". Wandinja, the unicorn master, blesses each frame and sends them back via a falcon.
to answer your question when they will be delivered....
patience is the first step in 11.

Arrrrgh. My girls decided the color for me (since pink was not an option at the time) and this blue is super trick anyway. Everything in their world is rainbow sparkles, and we had a good laugh that there's no way in the world anyone could do a rainbow sparkle bike.

If its rainbow sparkles, that unicorn's horn goes thru my heart.

PS, my birthday's tomorrow. Bring it, Falcon.

Ah, oh wise servant of the unicorn. I humbly beseach you to have patience with my impatience. I seek the path of enlightenment and all goodness that will take me to the heights of eleveness and release me from my mortal travels via bicycles that are lesser than the Speedvagen.

P.S. - If my humbleness is insufficient I've got a Franklin to pass along to the Unicorn and another for the Falcon! The first race of the Seattle Series is Sunday and I am hoping to smite my competition with the mighty power of 11 Unicorns that the Speedvagen is sure to provide me.

fixie rider.....you better put out your falcon pellets and sleep with 11 white candles cirling your bed.
i working late tonight because the unicorns tell me too. oh the greaaatness of the Surprise me color!!!!
i aam so glaad Sacha picked *********!!!

Fixie Rider said...

All hail to the unicorns! I will humbly take your advice and am off to gather my falcon pellets and candles. The siren of the Speedvagen beckens...

if it makes you guys feel any better, you will be getting your SV before the team and me. :( Sacha always puts his customers first.

1st of all, Happy B-day Andy. 2nd, welcome k-murder, now quit being such an f-ing tease. I think I know what the "suprise me" color is, but I too have been sworn to secrecy. I now humbly sit patiently while awaiting the falcon. The shrine is nearly complete and all of the trinkets, bobbles and jewels which will adorn the steed of been blessed by the shamans. Now if I could only find a decent pair of legs...
ps. Note that the interbike pics are of a frankenvagen" as they use the older dropouts, but have the new seat cluster.

Well, the Seattle Cyclocross Series started today and sadly the Falcon has not delivered the Speedvagen to my doorstep. The falcon pellets are spread from all points of the compass to my humble abode, white candles circle my bed and burn with such intensity my wife is threatening to unleash the fire extinguiser.

Me, I suffered at 11 without the mighty power of the unicorn. The course was very reminiscent of Portland ala the 2004 Nationals - heavy duty mud like I have never quite experienced up here in Seattle. Maybe it had something to do with racing at 1:30 in the afternoon instead of 9:30 in the morning. The course had been bombarded by rain starting on Saturday and riders beginning 4 hours before my wheels hit the track. I swear I ran as much as I rode. Initiation to the single speed division has been completed. My apprenticeship has begun...

hey helen!
Those are NOT older drops on the interbike pics. that bike is Pretty much what people are getting if they ordered the single speed model. Those drops ARE new and improved dispite the older look. i think it is fresh by the way.
the Shifter bikes also have NEW drops. the look more noticeably different and lighter. also Fresh....
As For the Teasing.....I Am Sorry.
Just Building More Excitement To The situation that is already exciting!!! i mean it gives you reason to check back to the blog. plus it makes the wait seem less without calling vanila. :)
To All you Vageneers......Us Painters are working hard . Falcons and unicorn masters are a hard bunch to deal with.

fixie rider,
are you getting a "Surpise me!" Single Speed?

Fixie Rider said...

K Murder - Yes indeed. It is a Surprise Me! Single Speed for me.

tjh said...

k murder, by all means keep the tidbits coming. i know the dropouts well...sacha sent me the caad drawing and i just assumed the SS would be similar in design.
ps. tjh=helen. I keep fogetting to check as my wife also had a gmail account and keeps herself logged in!

I swear halfway thru my race on sunday I thought I coughed up a unicorn. I'd forgotten what riding 50 minutes in 8" of quickcrete was like. I'd like to blame it on the hangover I suffered with mightily the day before, but I can't. Still, holy effing hell. We're back to the suffering of cross, kids. I don't know where Coat is located, but I rolled past Vanilla on Sunday for a glimpse of a leprechan or a falcon or something magical--or even something in Robins Egg Blue--but nada.

Coat, where are you??? You're so secret that Google cant even find you!

I'm pretty sure Coat is in the Kingdom of Wisdom. I'm actually glad I wasn't on the Vagen this weekend as I truly stunk up the place.
